We really have a "POLITOCRACY"

Are there alternatives to the current closed, narrowly defined electoral process of plurality voting that effectively limits choice to two major political parties in thrall to corporate money and narrowly-defined issues? YES !!!

The erosion of democracy and the narrowing of electoral choice in the U.S. are detrimental to most any issue, from the economy and health care to foreign wars.
It gives us a "POLITOCRACY" !!!

One observer defines politocracy as a political form of government where "politicians work for the party", not the electorate.
Online references to "politocracy" come closest to depicting our current U.S. political paralysis which is generated by the stranglehold of the two-party duopoly largely controlled by the corporate money which dominates the media and our election process.
It forms the "Special Interest Groups/Lobbyists" that pick our "major" candidates; our nominees, how and when we vote under what method they like, ....they even count the votes for you.

Media Bias in a "Politicracy"
"Media bias is often used in reference to the mainstream media: the network news, cable news, most city newspapers and numerous periodicals.  Examples of those organizations on the liberal left include CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, MSNBC, The New Your Times, The Washington Post, the Boston Globe, the Nation, Progressive and the New Republic. Examples of such organizations on the conservative right include Fox News, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Times and The National Review. Historical political polling data reveals that the vast majorities of journalists identify themselves as liberals and donate to liberal political candidates. The evidence suggests that there are far more liberal left leaning news/information outlets than conservative right leaning news/information outlets."

"But Media Bias occurs in other “forms” as well, specifically television programming and full length popular films. How does such bias come out in these mediums? Ask yourself the following questions: How often are American corporations vilified? (Almost always) Have you ever watched a movie or television programs in which the American corporate characters are the “good guys?” (Never) Are the American corporate characters the “bad guys”? (Almost always) And who are the good guys? The Lawyers, the Journalists, the Professors, the individual striking out against evil within the corporation, the military or the Central Intelligence Agency."

A good discussion can be found in Bill Collier's Opinion:

Resisting The Progressive Politocracy

"FREEDOM VERSUS POLITOCRACY......"
"The freedom takers of the Politocracy are on the march, and we must resist them!
They’re not RINOs, they are GOProgs! They are like DemProgs.
Then there are the Free Republicans,  that’s US, we’ve been against all forms of slavery, racial division, class warfare, and centralized (corporate/party/state) control by the many over the few since the beginning, when we were called Whigs!"

FOLLOW THE CONSTITUTION, HUH ??

CONSERVATIVES VS LIBERALS....."FOLLOW THE CONSTITUTION", huh ??

WELL....
The language used THEN is often confused and "hotly contested" as to their "meaning and intentions" as it relates to and is applied in "TODAY'S society & environment"!
It is these "definitions of "....(or should I say..."the expansion of these definitions") concerning Federal Limitations as stated in our Constitution that has been the major source of political debate !!

Constitution Of The Direct Democracy United States Of America
"A Second U.S. Constitution" ??

OR

IS HOLDING AN ARTICLE V CONVENTION
the answer ???

 Convention of States

The fallacies which could very well exist in any future Convention of States Project.....(since, after all, it would be run by essentially the same biased politician-types already in control) are certainly still present.  The only difference would be that such proceedings would be conducted by "State appointed" representatives and come from a more localized base.  Transparency, or should I say, Visibility will be better.  ??

Of course......Even the Convention is only one small step.....and is by NO means the main step.

THE PROBLEM .....has ALWAYS BEEN.....FINDING A WAY TO FIX AND INSTITUTE THE NECESSARY CHANGES WHEN NO VIABLE METHOD IS AVAILABLE !!!!

I refer to my political page:  SOLUTIONS FOR AMERICA NOW which earmarks many of the key ingredients for a successful ELECTORAL & POLITICAL REFORM:

1. Adoption of the FAIR TAX (HR 25)
2. Campaign Finance Reform/Restrictions (MOVE TO AMEND)
3. Institute OPEN PRIMARIES/OPEN BALLOTS
4. Allow OPEN POLITICAL DEBATES
5. Adoption of APPROVAL VOTING
6. Adoption of Revised Voter Qualification & ID system
How can things change when the voters themselves are ignorant....and apathetic at best ???
LOOK HERE:
https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10152626732072951&pnref=story
Eliminate the ignorant, apathetic voter !!!

And finally:
(I even go one step further....and say we need to COUNT THE VOTES right as well !!!)
WE'VE NEEDED THIS FOR A LONG TIME !!!!
7. Implementation of an accurate, verifiable VOTE COUNTING SYSTEMS.

YOUR CHOICE ????

Well, here's my take on it all.......
Homosexuality is wrong in my opinion....BUT should it be a Federally or State-mandated decision ??? NO.
"Marriage" is a personal decision....usually sanctioned by one's religious choices;
on the other hand..."Civil unions" are social requirements that need some type of Federal regulation (due to the portability across state borders...independent state rulings just won't work)... but should NOT enter into determining personal liberties/freedoms to "pick partners" (even when you personally don't agree).
Going a few steps farther.....I don't like tattoos, body-piercing jewelry, and a bunch of other things either....BUT UNFORTUNATELY those things really fall into personal decisions which only one's own morals/tastes should dictate.
YES...our seemingly national moral standards have taken large "nose dives" in recent years !!! Mostly due to the liberal emphasis on "freedom of any choices" and "restrictions" for those choosing to show or demonstrate their belief in GOD
Another step.....Marijuana.....I don't smoke, period...even marijuana....
BUT, just like any other substance which could be harmful......(plain tobacco, alcohol, prescription drugs, etc. etc)....... these things should be restricted to use (age, use while operating machinery, etc.)... BUT NOT ILLEGAL.
Yes, I have a "drink" now & then...(even a couple here & there LOL); I may even partake of a "mary jane brownie" if offered one LOL....so should I be arrested if I did ???
